Sterling Increases Showroom Traffic with 2-Hour Promotion in Atlanta

Sterling Industries announced that buyers flocked to their showroom each morning at the AmericasMart winter market in Atlanta to take advantage of a 25% discount offered by the Atlanta-based home accents company. The catch? The 25% discount expired at 11am each day. "We were amazed by the turnout and also with the number of new customers," said Sterling Industries CEO and Founder John Scott. Sterling recorded a 60% increase in sales over the same two hour period from last January's market. "There's never been a better time than now to buy," says Scott. "People are expecting deals. The company communicated their two-hour sale to customers through direct mail, e-mail blasts, a calling campaign and street marketers at the show. The company also offered free product deals and free freight to customers who shopped after 11am. They created extra incentive to visit by introducing 200 new accessories, lighting, furniture and mirrors. Due to the success of the promotion, Sterling Industries is offering the same discount at upcoming markets. Buyers can take 25% off all regularly priced items for the first two hours each market day in Dallas, Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
