Non Profit Organizations Receive $200,000 in Honor of Kathy Ireland Worldwide’s Record Sales Four major charities will share a $100,000 gift that Kathy has designated to celebrate record-setting sales her market-leading lifestyle products firm, Kathy Ireland Worldwide, achieved in 2007. Kathy named the Elizabeth Taylor HIV/AIDS Foundation, Alliance for Christian Education, Safe Surfing and Help1Up as recipients of what she described as “an expression of gratitude to our manufacture associates and retail partners for a banner year.” World Market Center, Las Vegas, one of the world’s pre-eminent sales expositions, matched Kathy’s celebratory gifts to the four non profit organizations bringing the total contributions to $200,000. “It is an amazing and humbling experience to have our company’s grants matched by the generous team at the World Market Center. The genius of this group is equaled only by their extraordinary hearts,” said Kathy. This lifestyle designer began her company in 1993, designing and manufacturing socks. Her products empire has grown to include: furniture, flooring, lighting, window treatments, home office and entertainment furniture, bedding, home accessories, porcelain, bath accessories, water features, jewelry, apparel and wall coverings which will appear in Glamour Magazine this Spring. Among other recent achievements, KIW is celebrating the Atlanta International Rug Market’s Magnificent Carpets Award accorded Kathy Ireland Home Essentials’ Buenos Aires rug. KIW has five Good Housekeeping Awards and a host of other honors including the San Francisco Flower and Garden Show’s Gold Medal for its Specialty Brand, J du J cultivated by Nicholas Walker, whose Natural Living wall coverings collection will appear in a March airing of Extreme Home Makeover. Forbes Magazine dubs Kathy “super-model-turned-super-mogul whose business grosses $1.4 billion in annual retail sales” and Inc. Magazine names her the top-rated woman on their list of top celebrity entrepreneurs.
