Stanley Furniture Names Steve Bullock Senior VP of Operations

Stanley Furniture Company announced the appointment of Steve Bullock to lead the company’s manufacturing operations as senior vice president of operations. He will report to Jeff Scheffer, chairman, chief executive officer and president. In his new position, Bullock will be responsible for all three manufacturing sites, as well as purchasing and engineering. He will focus on processes to drive continuous improvement. “Steve’s extensive manufacturing knowledge and collaborative leadership style will be valuable assets to Stanley Furniture Company,” Scheffer says. “As we move forward, he will implement manufacturing processes that result in better quality, lower costs and improved customer service.” With 16 years of management experience, including extensive lean manufacturing leadership, Bullock was previously vice president of operations for Geiger International, a subsidiary of Herman Miller Inc. Prior to that he managed six Herman Miller Plants in West Michigan as that region’s senior vice president of operations. He has a bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University and a master’s degree in business administration from Henderson State University.
