According to Karel Exposition Management, organizer of the "52nd Edison Furniture & Accessory Market" the bi-annual show was one of the best ever. "Everyone's telling me this was a super show," claimed Larry Karel, President of Karel Exposition Management (KEM) the nation's largest producer of regional furniture and accessory trade shows. "Buyers and seller came here to do business and to beat the economy. There's definitely a sense of enthusiasm and optimism in the air," added Karel. The Edison show is open to buyers, interior designers and specialty stores from the furniture industry. "52nd Edison Furniture & Accessory Market" which is ran from February 3 through February 5 at the New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center, utilized all 200,000 square feet, featured 1000 exhibit spaces and attracted nearly 5,000 buyers from New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The "52nd Edison Furniture & Accessory Market" featured over 1,000 spaces of merchandise and attracts attendees from New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and surrounding areas. The largest of its kind in the Northeast, the Furniture & Accessory Market enables attendees to meet new and existing sources exhibiting furniture, bedding, lighting and decorative accessories. Karel believes that the show's on-going success is the result of being able to bring the showroom to the buyers, making it much more convenient and economical. "This is great news for distributors, representatives, and manufactures as there's no costly permanent showroom to maintain," said Karel. "The show comes to them, for less than a tank of gas. There's no air fare, hotel room or car rental needed." Based out of Aventura, Florida, KEM's Furniture and Accessory Market caters to local markets around the country in the Northeast, Southeast, Southwest, Midwest and West Coast. Many of those retailers don't attend the major national furniture markets. They don't have the time or money, says Karel.
