FVI, parent company and distributor of aspenhome, announced that it will merge the Aspen Furniture line of products under the aspenhome brand in order to better serve its dealers. This consolidation will help the company meet its growing production and distribution demands, allowing for better and quicker responses to today’s retailing needs. The old Aspen Furniture line, which was primarily Home Office and Home Entertainment, will now be expanded into all categories and larger collections at better price points under the aspenhome brand. This merger also expands the price points in which aspenhome will offer its “ah factors.” The opening price point products of Cambridge and “Essentials” will include selected product features like the iPod dock in TV consoles, thereby improving the overall value of its products for consumers. Many of these products will now be made overseas in order to meet increased production and distribution demands, and will be available through FVI’s highly successful direct container and stocking SE (Savings Express) mixed container program. FVI’s U.S. suppliers will be able to utilize this freed-up production capacity to continue expanding the special product categories that they will continue to make. More efficient use of both production and warehouse facilities in the USA and in Asia is a key for the additional growth planned in 2008 and beyond. Retailers can now order mixed containers with a broader range of collections and products, or continue to pull from an extended in-stock, land delivery program from its U.S. distribution center. “We have successfully transitioned the manufacturing of certain products overseas and are now able to offer these popular products to our dealers through either the “SE” mixed containers or the U.S. land based distribution network,” stated Sam Fees, vice president of design for the opening price point division. “The old Aspen Furniture line was a “made-to-order” line, and with these changes will now be warehoused as part of the company’s open stock program which will dramatically speed up delivery times,” claimed Glenn Weisgerber, product development manager of the opening price point division. “Our dealers have embraced this product and brand merger. It is part of our ongoing mission to always improve and expand our products and our processes to continually be seen as a leading resource to our dealers,” commented Bill Colegrove, general manager and CEO of aspenhome. All collection products will now benefit from the strength of the aspenhome brand through its consolidated marketing program. The entire product line is featured in the aspenhome catalog under the names Cambridge and Essentials. aspenhome has evolved over the past 30 years from a small family owned home entertainment business based in Phoenix to a full line furniture company specializing in thoughtfully designed innovative products for the way people work, play and relax at home. Recognized as a resource for fashionable and functional family furniture, the aspenhome collection includes bedroom, dining, home office, home entertainment, stationary and motion leather seating, and occasional furnishings. aspenhome is distributed by Furniture Values International, LLC and headquartered in Phoenix, AZ.
