Four Hands announced they have signed on to be exclusive North American distributor for the Old Java brand based out of Jakarta, Indonesia. Old Java is a hand-crafted, reclaimed teak collection that exhibits sophisticated design with both classic and contemporary lines. The line includes case goods, upholstery and accessories. The Old Java line is slated to debut in the Four Hands showrooms at the Atlanta and Las Vegas Market. A larger launch will take place at the High Point show in April. Four Hands founder and CEO, Brett Hatton, has had his eye on the Old Java line for several years, and this will be the largest initiative undertaken with a single vendor in the history of the company. Hatton said “When you see Old Java designs it makes perfect sense; the pieces are beautiful, hand-crafted and honor the Javanese culture. We also share the same core philosophy of selling sustainable product.” Old Java owner, Mark Saunders-Davies, echoes Hatton’s excitement "After we initiated discussions and visited each other, we discovered a great fit in terms of business philosophy and personalities. We currently export to over 30 countries, but are under-represented in the USA compared to our other markets. Together we expect to make this our largest market.” Saunders-Davies will be on-hand at Atlanta and Las Vegas to answer any questions.
