Actress, entrepreneur and businesswoman, Jaclyn Smith has reorganized her home collections under an integrated company brand: JACLYN SMITH HOME. The announcement of the initiative was made by Charlie Rice of Jaclyn Smith International. “Jaclyn sees the opportunity to make a difference in the industry and is forging an innovative approach to home.” said Rice. “By combining the best of lifestyle merchandising together with strong vendor partners and successful celebrity marketing, Jaclyn Smith Home will align all the elements of home furnishings under one clear, crisp point of view. That point of view will be led from the consumer’s needs, first and foremost, and inspired by Jaclyn’s years of furniture collecting and decorating. ” Jaclyn is well known for creating a warm, welcoming, gracious home that inspires friends and family with her hospitality. Sharing this beauty in an accessible way is the goal of Jaclyn Smith Home. The initiative aimed at bringing coordinated collections to the market will be facilitated by Jaclyn’s decision to bring HB2’s Caroline Hipple and Dixon Bartlett on board. The two well-known furniture industry veterans will be leading the JACLYN SMITH HOME team with their expertise in making dynamic customer connections. Along with partner Joey Bowers, Hipple and Bartlett will be working closely with manufacturers and retail partners to create a lifestyle format that coordinates all the elements of merchandising, marketing and sales. They will provide theme, style, color palettes and product and marketing direction that is infused with Jaclyn’s taste and understanding of her customer. Hipple noted, “We are delighted to be part of Jaclyn’s team as we believe her sense of style and gracious living translates beautifully for today’s home furnishings consumer; and we look forward to working with her as we enhance the collections under the Jaclyn Smith Home brand.” “I am thrilled to have Caroline, Dixon, and Joey on my team. We are excited about coming together to create a well edited and coordinated collection that meets the needs of customers today”, said Smith. “I’m passionate about home furnishings and I’m committed to creating designs that share life’s beauty with my customers. It is thrilling that our brand has grown to the extent we had envisioned when we began in 2002 and I am very proud of each piece in the collection. As we nurture and expand our collections we intend to evolve into a whole home resource united under a centralized aesthetic vision.” Smith’s home collections include products produced by several vendor partners and include affordable furniture, bedding, fabrics and accent rugs. The new corporate restructuring will merge home collection products from vendors including Hickory Hill Furniture Corporation, Comfort Solutions by King Koil, Diversitex Fabrics, and Dalyn Rug Company to exist under a single brand. The items each vendor contributes to the Jaclyn Smith home collection will now be prominently identified with the JACLYN SMITH HOME name. Casegoods, lighting, top of bed, outdoor, fine art reproductions and drapery are all categories that the team expects to launch in the near future.
