Leggiero will provide operational leadership to all Mattress Firm locations while working closely with the company’s more than 110 district and area managers to act as a liaison for corporate support. In addition, Leggiero will be responsible for providing strategic analysis and recommendations for store growth and productivity while ensuring store policy and procedures are executed successfully. Leggiero will report to Brian Bandarra, executive vice president of sales. “Steve joins Mattress Firm in this important role during a period of unprecedented growth for our company,” said Steve Stagner, president and chief operating officer for Mattress Firm. “As we continue on our rapid growth trajectory, it is critical we maintain high operational standards within all of our stores. I’m confident that Steve’s vast experience with other leading national retailers will be invaluable to our organization and we’re fortunate to have him on our team.” Leggiero joins Mattress Firm with more than 25 years experience serving in a variety of executive positions with some of the nation’s industry leaders including J.C. His experience includes sales, operations, business development, training and brand and product management. “Steve brings with him a wealth of retail experience gained from senior positions with some of the nation’s leading retailers that will greatly complement his role at Mattress Firm as we continue to position ourselves as the leader in the specialty mattress retail category,” said Brian Bandarra, executive vice president of sales for Mattress Firm. “I’m pleased he’s bringing his knowledge to Mattress Firm and believe that, with this latest addition to our executive team, we are strongly positioned for continued growth and success.” Leggiero served in the United States Army for seven years, where he achieved the rank of Captain. He holds a bachelor’s of science in engineering from West Point and a master’s degree in business management from Central Michigan University.
