Furniture Brands International Names Michael F. McBreen Vice President Supply Chain and Logistics

W.G. (Mickey) Holliman, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Furniture Brands International, Inc., announced the appointment of Michael F. McBreen as Vice-President, Supply Chain and Logistics of the company. Mr. McBreen has served since 2004 as a Director in Global Apparel Operations and Strategic Planning for Nike, Inc. Prior to assuming his current role, Mr. McBreen served in other supply chain positions of increasing responsibility at Nike. Before joining the company in 2000, Mr. McBreen was employed by PricewaterhouseCoopers and consulted in their Manufacturing, Consumer Products, and Supply Chain Management practices. Mr. McBreen’s educational background includes a degree in chemical engineering from Iowa State University in 1988. Mr. Holliman commented, “I am pleased that Mike has agreed to join our company as a key member of our leadership team. Our business model poses many supply chain and logistic challenges. The opportunity to greatly reduce our costs is significant, and at the same time we must continue to fulfill ever increasing consumer expectations of a timely and reliable delivery. We expect Mike to have a tremendous impact on our business.” Mr. Holliman also announced that he has accepted the resignation of Joseph P. McClelland as Vice-President, Supply Chain and Logistics of the company. Mr. Holliman commented that the separation was by mutual agreement. Furniture Brands International is one of America’s largest residential furniture companies. The company produces, sources and markets its products under six of the best-known brand names in the industry – Broyhill, Lane, Thomasville, Henredon, Drexel Heritage and Maitland-Smith.
