American Home Furnishings Alliance Elects 2007 Officers

Paul Toms, chairman and chief operating officer of Hooker Furniture, Martinsville, Va., was elected chairman of the American Home Furnishings Alliance during the organization’s Annual Meeting Nov. 16-19, in Sonoma, Calif. Kurt Darrow, president of La-Z-Boy Inc., Monroe, Mich., has moved to first vice chairman. Bruce Bradburn, CEO of the Bradburn Gallery, Atlanta, Ga., was elected second vice chairman. Robert Maricich, president and chief executive officer of Century Furniture Industries, Hickory, N.C., moves to immediate past-chairman of the AHFA Board of Directors. The officers will assume their new posts on January 1. Members newly elected to serve a three-year term on the AHFA Board of Directors include: Rodney England, England Inc., New Tazewell, Tenn.; Dudley Flanders, Lloyd Flanders Inds., Menominee, Mich.; Joe Johnston, Johnston Casuals Furniture, North Wilkesboro, N.C.; Bill Lee, Superior Furniture, Lowell, Mich.; Dennis Park, Leggett & Platt Consumer Products, Carthage, Mo.; Jay Reardon, Hickory Chair Company, Hickory, N.C.; and Sonny Roseman, C.R. Laine Furniture, Hickory, N.C.
