Lea Industries will launch of the Emma’s Treasures collection in at the High Point Show. Their new girl’s collection features styling that the company's brand manager Earl Wang generally describes as shabby chic. “Overall, this new collection touches the best of what is popular today with young girls as well as things that young girls have loved forever.”, said Wang. “It’s all about creating a cozy, relaxed setting where kids are free to put their feet on the furniture and an environment that gives a new lease on life to time-worn objects. It’s not perfect furniture, where everything matches like it was pressed out of a cookie cutter. It’s no specific style but rather a balance of elegant things with imperfect accessories incorporating soft delicate colors and a mixture of materials.” he added. The collection features three beds including a metal bed, low poster bed and a mansion bed. In addition there are several unique pieces including a curved vanity and the mirror front door chest. “Our objective here was to create something so eclectic that whether mom’s bought just a few pieces or an entire grouping they would be able to capture the essence of what Shabby Chic really is. Even the desk can be used in a multitude of ways thereby making it a very personal collection for every little girl.” said Johne Albanese, VP of Marketing for Lea Industries. Other unique features include vintage wallpaper drawer bottoms, curved fronts and carved motifs, a hidden jewelry tray, and actual functioning locks on several drawer pieces. “Emma’s Treasures is a combination of many styles. It has elements of what you might find at a flea market or 2nd hand store. It has a broad mix of traditional styles. It’s finished in a casual, distressed painted finish and the metal beds in an antiqued silver finish and woven cane used in the cases, beds and mirrors enhances the eclectic nature of Shabby Chic.”, said Wang. In addition, Lea will also introduce a new collection that is designed to do what every mother wants; solve the problem of sleep and space in their children’s rooms. Deer Run features a brown, lightly distressed cherry finish on a casual, softly contoured style and is accented with vintage cup hardware. “When working on this design, our primary goal was to solve a problem that every mother has. How do I get the furniture I need into the room that I have.” said Earl Wang, VP and Brand Manager for Lea. “To do that, we knew that we had to find a way to offer more options and more possibilities than ever before. We had to think about small rooms, medium sized rooms and large rooms and then from there determine how to create sleep, study and storage solution which are all non-negotiable in youth furniture.”
