The International Home Furnishings Representatives Association’s members will be wearing new lapel pins for the April 2006 High Point Furniture Market. The new silver lapel pins, recently mailed to all IHFRA members, reflect IHFRA’s updated branding image. The previous gold IHFRA pin has been in use for the past ten years. Market Authority President Judy Mendenhall said “The IHFRA pin is distinctive and identifies the person wearing it as a valued member of the organization and a recognized sales representative. As we enter into a new centralized registration system in High Point, it is exciting to have a new IHFRA pin.” The IHFRA pins are recognized as entrance into all major US furniture markets. IHFRA’s new website, www.ihfra.org incorporates IHFRA’s new branding image as well as many new features including the Opportunity Center where manufacturers can look for representatives, resume postings for IHFRA members, and a complete IHFRA Member Directory. A new mentoring section will be added soon. Representatives may sign up to become members on-line through the new website. The International Home Furnishings Representatives Association was founded in 1934. It is a professional association whose objective is to help good representatives become better representatives through education, legislative advocacy, and communication.
