Hekman Furniture, maker of fine wood furniture with a long tradition of excellence, is expanding its presence in San Francisco in time for the San Francisco Mart’s Winter Show, which runs February 2-5. The trade-only showroom will be open during the Winter Home Furnishings Show, as well as Monday-Friday throughout the year. The showroom will occupy more than 3,500 square feet in space 438 on the fourth floor and will be operated by Ernest and Robert Legnitto of Furniture Forum, who are also managing the new Universal Home gallery program. “We are very pleased to be expanding our presence with Bob and Ernie Legnitto,” says Neil McKenzie, vice president of sales and marketing for Hekman. “We have a long-standing relationship and this will only help build on our success in servicing the design trade in the Northern California area. “Northern California has some of the most talented designers in the country and by developing a presence of this magnitude thru Bob and Ernie, Hekman and Woodmark will be assured of maximizing our exposure to this customer base,” McKenzie continues. “We hope to work with Bob and Ernie to feature specials events and special value programs that will help drive interest with the design community to come shop Hekman and Woodmark.” Hekman will feature its best-selling Loire Valley Collection, the latest addition Repertory, its expanded Executive Office, its diverse entertainment center lineup and a broad array of occasional and accents that makes Hekman such a treasure drove. The Woodmark display will focus on featuring the breadth of the company’s frame and fabric line with more than 800 SKUs to choose from and to help the designer sell the superior comfort of Woodmark Seating. Furniture Forum, which has had a permanent showroom at the SF Mart since 1988, features numerous high-profile lines such as the new Universal Home gallery program, Highland House, Howard Miller, Miresco Rugs and Taylor King.
