Ken Taylor, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Frankoma Inc. in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, announced that Richard Frovich has joined the company as National Sales Manager. According to Taylor, “the addition of Mr. Frovich with his over 30 years experience in ceramics and table top sales and marketing demonstrates our commitment to expand and develop a national market for Frankoma’s terra cotta table top lines”. Since 1932, Frankoma’s distinctive terra cotta products have been produced in their 80,000 sq. foot plant in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Today, many familiar patterns are sought after collectibles in dinnerware, bakeware, and gift items. New owners Det and Crystal Merryman recently launched six exciting new collections at the recent High Point Market. The enthusiastic response from customers, sales people, and the media alike was most encouraging for this venerable American factory that hadn’t produced any new patterns in over nine years. “The opportunity to join Frankoma, a true American icon that continues to manufacture in the States, and participate in its exciting future was too much to resist,” remarked Frovich, who has national experience in both US and Canadian markets. Prior to joining Frankoma, Frovich had worked with notable factory importers Noritake (Toronto and Los Angeles), Mikasa (Southern California), Nancy Calhoun (Southern California), Gaitano Pottery in Los Angeles, and Italian giant Caleca in their New Jersey ceramic decorating factory. Most recently, he was Director, Sales and Marketing for American Atelier.
