The International Sleep Products Association (ISPA) will host ISPA EXPO 2006, the world’s largest tradeshow devoted exclusively to the mattress industry, March 1-4, 2006 in San Antonio, TX, at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. The biennial event, held in even-numbered years since 1920, will feature exhibits showcasing supply component materials, services and machinery dedicated solely to the mattress manufacturing industry, educational sessions on important industry topics such as global markets and branding, and an ISPA/SPSC Flammability SHOPtalk held in conjunction with the event. The exhibition of mattress machinery, equipment components, materials, supplies and services with product demonstrations will highlight the industry’s technological advances in an era of adjustment to the latest processes and regulations. Suppliers who have already reserved their space come from all over the world, including Europe and Asia, and they will showcase the latest advances in mattress manufacturing. With a Federal open-flame mattress standard pending, this is a great opportunity for manufacturers to learn how to best prepare for compliance. Networking opportunities such as a Friday night Across the Border networking party are planned throughout the event to offer fun-filled social settings for attendees and exhibitors to meet. “ISPA EXPO 2006 will offer manufacturers great opportunities to meet with colleagues worldwide throughout this event,” said ISPA President Dick Doyle. “Aside from the chance to more efficiently tap into the global market, attendees are offered top notch educational sessions to help enhance business as well as networking opportunities to build relationships with colleagues within this dynamic industry,” he added. The Flammability SHOPtalk will offer the latest details surrounding the upcoming federal open-flame mattress standard. Attendees of this event will also have the opportunity to learn about flammability mattress tests as a tour of a nearby burn lab is included. “The EXPO provides an excellent atmosphere for exhibiting our products for showcasing new technology to the sleep products industry. There is no other venue where we can meet as many high-profile customers in a four-day period,” said Atlanta Attachment Company Senior Vice President of Sales, Hank Little.
