Medium to high-end casegoods manufacturer Leda Furniture is looking to draw attention to their bedroom offerings by focusing future introductions around bedrooms. “We have always been known for having strong dining room designs and quality, to the point of over-shadowing our bedroom designs, so over the course of the October High Point and January Toronto markets we will be introducing more bedrooms than dining rooms in order to put them in the forefront rather than the background of people’s minds.” states President Marco L. Confalone. To emphasize their dedication to bedroom Leda will first showcase the bedroom from its new introduction, Astoria, at the October Market. The dining room will be showcased as a new introduction at the January Toronto and April High Point markets. Astoria has its inspiration rooted in France's Post-Moderne era and the North American Art Deco period. This classic nouveau collection features quarter cut mahogany veneers, jewelry style hardware in aged sterling and a clean, soft and sophisticated retro mahogany finish, styled to fit any decor. Also featuring a new bedroom introduction is the new Varadero collection. This group features both bedroom and dining room inspired by the soft trade winds gently blowing thru the open windows of the great plantation houses of Havana. Varadero is crafted in exotic cherry veneers and distressed to the care worn look of a fine antique. Design elements include aged brass hardware, metal accents, stone insert tops and oversized case pieces. A third new bedroom will be introduced in January to be added to Leda’s Signature collection, a modern contemporary marvel featuring Ebony and Walnut Burl veneers with Maple solids. “The timing is right for these introductions as their availability will coincide with the bedroom selling season of Spring 2006,” added Confalone.
