Renowned author and professional coach Nan Leaptrott will lead a one-day International Protocol seminar intended to identify the unique cultural nuances that can have a major impact in conducting business throughout the world. The seminar is scheduled on Wednesday, September 21, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Greensboro. Co-hosted by WithIt (Women in the Home Industries Today) and YHFP (Young Home Furnishings Professionals), the event is sponsored by the leading furniture logistics supplier, MGM Transport Corporation. However, because of the concentration on global culture, the program is suitable for any businesses involved in international commerce. To maximize proficiency, the course is focused on Brazil, China, Vietnam and Indonesia and will include a dining tutorial at lunch. Each participant will receive a personal copy of Leaptrott’s compendium, Rules of the Game: Global Business Protocol. Register on-line at www.withit.org. WithIt and YHFP members and their sponsors attend for $250, and non-members attend for $450. WithIt, founded in 1997, encourages and develops leadership, mentoring, education and career opportunities for women in the home furnishings industry. Young Home Furnishings Professionals seeks to promote the growth and success of the home furnishings industry through a variety of means, including attracting and retaining talented young people and providing opportunities for professional development.
