Bush Industries, Inc. has appointed Eric Cook to the position of Vice President of Design, and Marty Durkin as Director of Sales, Central Region, for the Home Products Group. Cook’s primary focus will be to continue building the strong team of designers in Jamestown, working closely with the Marketing and Sales departments to increase the speed to market of furniture reflecting today’s styles and impactful trends. Cook most recently served as Design Manager for nine years at Ashley Furniture in Arcadia, WI. “Bush’s manufacturing strength, both domestically and in Asia, gives me and my design team the opportunity to incorporate almost endless combinations of materials, from laminate to wood veneer, metal and glass,” Cook said. “This allows us to focus on the consumer and bring them the most attractive styles and finishes at the best possible value in both case goods and ready-to-assemble furniture.” Durkin served as Director of Sales and Marketing North America for Valspar/Guardsman Products for seven years and will assist Bush in strengthening its relationships with the growing dealer base in the Central Region. “Marty’s experience with our target customer base will help position us with the leaders in each market,” said Mark Phanco, Sr. Vice President of Home Furnishings at Bush. “His background with companies who are leaders in customer service and retail sales training will also strengthen our focus in the Central Region.” Bush Industries, Inc. is a leading global manufacturer of case goods and ready-to-assemble furniture for home and office, as well as a supplier of diverse surface technologies.
