cmi Expands Retail Offerings With New Accessories And POP Display

cmi (Colonial Mills, Inc.), a leading manufacturer of a complete line of braided-texture area rugs and accessories, announces the availability of six new accessory items and a more user-friendly Rug Sample Center both designed to maximize retail sales opportunities. They will be featured at the upcoming New York Home Textiles Show (Booth #1221), High Point International Home Furnishings Market (Suites at Market Square G-1332), and International Quilt Market (Booth #1317). The new accessories include a utility basket, hamper with lid, waste basket, nesting bowls, tote bag, and floor pillow. The accessories coordinate with cmi's area rug collections to unify design elements in a decorating theme. All accessories are made with the same fine quality materials as the company's rugs and are available in corresponding color and design options. The new products will join the already popular accessories line which includes: accent rugs, chair pads, trivets, rug slices, heart rugs, and stair treads. The new Rug Sample Center provides dealers with the optimum tool to help consumers understand and see the multitude of color and design options offered by cmi. The system uses only 15 sq. ft. of floor space to display 32 styles and literally millions of color/design options. Free merchandising aids offered with the Rug Sample Center include style story cards, a full-color catalog with a custom design section, a yarn pom of all available yarns and fabrics, promotional stickers, hang tags, and rug style name labels. “We like to talk with our customers about their needs and then try and respond by producing appropriate braided-texture products as well as displays,” said Donald M.
