Comparable store sales decreased 2.5%. James H. Baireuther, Vice Chairman and Chief Administrative Officer, commented, "Although we were disappointed in February sales, we believe our inventory is well positioned as we transition into spring/summer merchandise assortments, coupled with a strong promotional calendar. For the month, fashion accessories, men's, home textiles, misses moderate casual sportswear and intimate posted sales increases. Based on early indications, customers are responding favorably to the fresh, trend-right fashion offerings." Fourth quarter and fiscal 2004 results will be released Thursday, March 10, 2005.
