World Market CenterSM has announced that exhibitors and attendees can now begin booking hotel rooms for the first Las Vegas MarketSM at special discounted rates, as low as $52 per night. Offering a wide range price points and hotel styles, Market officials are encouraging attendees to book their hotel rooms early in order to ensure the best availability. The inaugural Las Vegas MarketSM will be held from July 25–29, 2005. World Market CenterSM has partnered with ITS, a full-service, one-stop travel and housing provider, to negotiate custom room blocks and rates at approximately 15 hotel properties. Room blocks are being held for the period July 22 – July 31, 2005. The rates will not fluctuate throughout the week, nor is there a minimum stay at any of the properties. For added convenience, attendees will not be charged at the time of the booking. Instead, it’s known as a “pay as you stay” policy which means guests will pay upon check-in. “Las Vegas is home to the finest properties in the world, and we are fortunate to be able to offer such a wide variety of hotels which we believe will enhance our attendees overall Market experience,” said Director of Market Operations Briana Mackey. “From budget accommodations and non-gaming hotels to the most luxurious suites in the world, we have designed a hotel roster to ensure we have something that will suit every budget and satisfy even the most discriminating tastes.” “The home furnishings industry has been eagerly anticipating this hotel line-up, and we are pleased to say there is something on this list for everyone,” adds Mackey. The following listing represents the first group of Las Vegas MarketSM hotel partners: 1. Sahara Hotel – $52 2. Flamingo Las Vegas – $75 3. Bally’s Las Vegas – $85 4. Golden Nugget – $99 5. These hotels will include Caesars Palace, Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand and Wynn Las Vegas, which is the most anticipated and luxurious property set to open on the Las Vegas Strip this spring. “We selected these properties because they have incredible on-site amenities such as world class restaurants, convenient business centers, luxurious pools and spas and free parking,” said Mackey. Up to five rooms can be booked through the real-time reservations system on-line at www.lasvegasmarket.com. ITS will also work closely to customize larger blocks of rooms for exhibitors and buyer groups who have broader needs. These Hotel Block Request Forms can be found on the website. When visiting the Las Vegas Market website, buyers will also find an on-line planning tool, Virtual Veg@s, which allows attendees 24-hour access to customize their Market experience. Buyers can use Virtual Veg@s in order to book or change their hotel room; develop a list of exhibitors they want to see including showroom or booth location; preview and select seminars and networking events they will attend at Market; manage Market appointments with exhibitors; build a personal agenda, then store, print or download to a PDA; and select attractions in Las Vegas to enhance the overall Market experience. On the website attendees can also download a site map of host hotels to view locations of each property relative to World Market CenterSM.
