Tepperman's Furniture Invests Over $48,000.00 in the Community, in the Form of Scholarships For Young People

Tepperman's, the leading family owned furniture, bedding, appliances, audio/video and carpet retailer in Southwestern Ontario, is launching a community focused plan for the next 12 months, unique in all of Canada. Beginning September 3rd, 1998, and each month for the next year, Tepperman's will give away $1000.00 for one child up to age 10, in each of their 4 store locations, Windsor, London, Chatham and Sarnia Ontario, in Canadian Scholarship Trust Registered Education Savings Plans. A total investment from Tepperman's of $48,000.00 not Including promotional costs. No purchase will be necessary. Entries can be made at any Tepperman's location. "This is one of the ways that the Tepperman family has chosen to give back to the communities that support us", said Bill Tepperman. President of the 73 year old family owned business. "The Tepperman family and staff believe that our young people are Canada's greatest resource. We are investing in the future of our communities". The $1,000.00 scholarships are to be used by each winning child for post-secondary education. This initial investment will continue to grow over the years, and depending on the age of the child at registration, could provide scholarships at maturity in excess of $8,000.00 each according to C.S.T, the largest, and only non profit, registered education savings plan in Canada, with assets approximately 900 million dollars.
