Charles W. Mc Cartney Passes

Charles W. Mc Cartney, a 40 year veteran of the furniture industry died in Scottsdale, AZ. He was 71. Mc Cartney joined Ethan Allen in 1957 as a sales representative. He then became the western divisional sales manager and later vice president of merchandising. He played a key role in helping develop, launch and support many of the Ethan Allen Galleries which have become the company's hallmark. In 1975, he joined Charlton Furniture Company, Leominster, MA, as vice president of sales for six years and then went on to team up with his wife, Mary Lou, as representatives for top quality furniture and accessory liens in the western states. He was a graduate of Ohio State University and served in the US Navy during World War II. Mr. McCartney is survived by his wife, Mary Lou, his son, Michael, daughter Charlou, 3 grandchildren and his sister Betty. Good wishes can be sent to the family care of Bob Ficks at 910-295-4157.
