Bush Furniture, the 11th largest furniture manufacturer in the U.S., announced new products to be introduced at the International Home Furnishings Market in High Point, N.C., April 23 - May 1, 1998. Among the new products are several home theater and office selections which address consumers' continuing desire for upscale styling and Bush's innovative functions at affordable price points. "Consumers are embracing advanced technology in many areas of their lives, which impacts the features of RTA furniture," commented Dave Messinger, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Bush. "As the price for more advanced computers goes down, sales are increasing, which in turn increases the demand for furniture to house those advanced systems. Many computer owners are on their second or third systems, so they are very aware of the functions they need in their home office furniture due to their past experiences. And, because multimedia electronics play a significant role in the home, consumers want the furniture to be attractive, leading the way to upscale styling." SARATOGA COLLECTION The popular Saratoga Collection, finished in Hanover Cherry and noted for its traditional 18th century styling, is being expanded to include several new pieces that, when combined, create a formal executive office setting. The Computer Credenza (WC1627 - $229.99) accommodates an entire multimedia system and the Credenza Hutch (WC 1628 - $129.99) features wood-framed glass doors protecting overhead storage compartments. The Executive Desk is 66" wide and is available with either a green leatherette top (WC 1666 - $349.99) or a black leatherette top (WC 1667). A matching Lateral File (WC 1651 -$199.99) holds letter- or legal-size files, and has a matching File Hutch (WC 1652 - $99.99) with additional shelving for books or curios. "The Saratoga Collection is a perfect example of how upscale styling can be integrated in both the formal home office and the traditional executive office," commented Messinger. MANHATTAN COLLECTION One of Bush's newest collections, Manhattan, features urban contemporary styling marked by a classic, sleek design with a High Gloss Black finish. The Entertainment Center (AV41955 - $399.99) accommodates most 35" TVs and has ample storage for stereo components. The coordinating Entertainment Center Hutch (AV41956 - $199.99) features curio lighting, tempered glass doors, and wire racks to hold wine goblets, all designed to accommodate consumers' lifestyles.
