As you plan your schedule for the Spring International Home Furnishings Market at High Point, be sure to include a visit to the Flexsteel Showroom, 638 Hamilton. Stop in during market week and see what's fresh from this century-old manufacturer of classic upholstered furniture! Here are just a few fashion-forward looks to watch for: CASUAL CLASSICS TREND CONTINUES. This growing style category is a winner from coast to coast, with an array of fabulous new upholstery styles that combine the warm elements of country living with the clean styling favored by urban dwellers - - a classic look for today's homes! "ROMA" IS BURNING! Flexsteel has added three new styles to our super-hot Italian-designed Roma Divani leather collection! The three sofas we introduced in October created such a stir we put our designers in Italy to work on three more that are unlike anything you'll see at market -- earthy, sexy, modern - - with unexpected twists and elliptical design details that flout convention. "CITY LIVING" PAYS TRIBUTE TO THE SPA, WITH SOFTER, BUT STILL GLORIOUS, COLOR! Softer city looks will dominate Flexsteel's collection of architecturally-inspired sofas, upholstered chairs, leather pieces and complementing collection of imported occasional tables. Colors to watch for: Spa-inspired terra-cotta reds, pale blues, soft greens and butter tones - - a palette reminiscent of last season's brights, but not as arresting. Fabrics will be fun and refreshing, with a more discernible texture. "Old World Elegance" still making headlines! Architectural display elements enhance the classic features of Flexsteel's line of history-inspired pieces. Elegant velvet sofas and companion pieces feature hand-carved hardwood accents, brass nail trim, button-tufting and gracious, rolled arms. The Renaissance Inspired fabrics of last year continue to move toward a softer color palette migrating from subtle hues of eggplant and aubergine to gentle brown-reds, greens, yellows and blues. Tapestry looks remain an important influence in this style category. "Timeless Traditions" alive at Flexsteel. Design details continue to support an emphasis on consummate livability with an apparel influence. Soft twills and chenille textures dominate the fabric offerings, with dressmaker details continuing to be in the spotlight. Textured tapestries and hobnail fabrics continue to be mixed with leather for collage-look pieces. This category will flow into Heirlooms and Accents, Flexsteel's collection of hardwood chairs and accent pieces in one-of-a-kind novelty prints and textured tapestries. Other Highlights: MARKET MUST-SEES! An exciting new body-hugging leather club chair and ergonomic ottoman by Flexsteel designer Lou Meier, and a space-age leather swivel chair with rounded base, arms and padded back. TABLES AND MORE! Flexsteel continues to add to its collection of more than 100 imported occasional pieces in a variety of media, including stone, wrought iron and rattan styles. New products in every style category - - from traditional to transitional, chairs and settees, contemporary, country, recliners, motion, sofa-sleepers and more.
