Withit Seeks Nominations For Wow Awards

Women in the Home Industries Today (WithIt) is calling for nominations for its annual WOW Awards, to be presented at the October 2004 International Home Furnishings Market in High Point, N.C. The awards, given in four categories, provide an opportunity for the industry to recognize and celebrate excellence. Retailers, manufacturers, suppliers and other industry professionals are invited to nominate deserving individuals and businesses in the home furnishings industry. Nominations can be made in the following categories: x Legacy Award – For a woman of achievement who has made significant lifetime contributions to the home furnishings industry. x Mentoring Award – For an executive or organization that has fostered advocacy, development or promotion of women in their company. x Education Award – For an executive or company for the creation of programs to educate associates, retailers or consumers about home furnishings. x Future Leadership Award – For an woman under 40 who has shown outstanding achievement and demonstrated potential to become an industry leader. xTo make a nomination, WithIt asks you to share – in 25 words or less – why you think this person or organization should be considered for the award. Nominees must currently work in the home furnishings field with at least five years of industry experience. Each must have demonstrated impact on her company and/or the industry. Nominations are due June 1, 2004.
