IHFRA is the largest, most active, professional association dedicated to furthering the business objectives of the sales representative in the home furnishings industry. A significant part of its mission is to provide education, professional standards and services for its membership. The Certified Home Furnishings Representative (CHR) class offered by IHFRA is designed to meet the educational needs of the Professional Home Furnishings Sales Representative by offering comprehensive instruction in business principles pertinent to the industry. The CHR designation, achievable by completing the CHR course and exam offered through IHFRA, adds further distinction to the representative and his/her commitment to professional excellence. For the sales representative, CHR provides education and assistance in formulating a plan for business development, knowledge on how to harness demographic information to increase his/her market share, the skills to effectively train retail sales people and add value to the retailers business, and communication skills that break down barriers and lead to more efficient sales gains. From this, the sales representative benefits from added credibility and the potential to achieve greater financial success. For the manufacturer, a CHR trained sales representative can add value to your company with increased sales, improved retailer relationships, increased market share with existing customers, and professional tools for effectively training retail sales people to sell your product line. This intensive seven-day course is an excellent way to equip sales representatives with the tools they need to aggressively operate in the home furnishings industry. Class size for the course is limited. To register for the class, please contact the IHFRA office at 800-889-3920 or by e-Mail to ihfra@aol.com. Additional course information as well as a registration form can be found on the web site at www.ihfra.org.
