MT. LAUREL, NJ – The Unfinished Furniture Association (UFA) hosts its annual National Convention & Trade Show July 10-13 at the Memphis Cook Convention Center, Memphis, Tennessee. This year’s theme, “Rock ‘N’ Memphis” offers attendees an exciting look at the unfinished furniture industry and plenty of networking and educational opportunities in one of the country’s most famous cities. More than 36,000 square feet of products on display. The ever-popular Education Day on July 10 offers money-saving, business building strategies to help retailers do their business better. Keynote speaker, Willie Davis of R&A Marketing and Retail Solutions, presents his theory of unfinished furniture relativity and starts unlocking a mathematical furniture formula that will help retailers connect the big picture dots. Through this eye-opening and interactive learning experience, Davis helps retailers understand how to mathematically teach the word “value” and calculate a store’s advertising performance. In addition, breakout sessions teach attendees Brilliant Marketing Ideas and Best Practices, What’s Hot and What’s Not in industry trends, Finishing Techniques, Most Effective Use of Advertising Dollars and more. Other highlights include Hot Topic Luncheon Round Tables, New Product Showcase featuring the latest introductions for the coming year, and a casual Welcome Reception. UFA’s brand awareness campaign, Real Wood Furniture Finished Your Way® celebrates its second successful year through a variety of events including a special reception for certified members and a peer reviewed contest on promotional efforts for the program. “The Annual Convention provides an invaluable resource to members of the unfinished furniture industry,” said Dave Sommer, UFA President. “This is the only national show that caters exclusively to the unfinished furniture industry and we are enthusiastic this will be our biggest and best show in UFA history.” UFA is an international trade association of more than 650 retailers, manufacturers and sales representatives in the United Sates, Canada and Bahamas whose mission is to support the growing unfinished furniture industry.
