Oriental Weavers Of America To Update All Collections, Add Two New Ones

Oriental Weavers of America unveiled approximately 75 new rugs in Atlanta January 18 through January 22 at the International Rug Market. Included in showroom 3A – 3C were be two new collections – the Chairman and the Benedictine Collection. The Chairman Collection, inspired by ancient silken traditions, is woven in the new patent-pending Pro-lon quality – a new polypropylene and nylon blend, specially created by Oriental Weavers of America. This premium collection consists of 12-color captivating designs that are as lush to the feel as they are to the eyes. Utilizing lush pile, this collection is tightly woven for luxury and durability.Suggested retail price for a 6x9 is $349 to $399. The Benedictine Collection, comprised of 10-color patterns, is created with 2-ply heat-set olefin and a plush pile. Woven with a bank of newly updated colors, this collection takes its inspiration from uninterrupted tradition that began 1,500 years ago. Within the Benedictine monasteries, where the designs originated, monks still balance prayer, learning and work, preserving the achievements of the past and creatively continuing them for the future. The designs of the Benedictine Heritage are derived from things that bring a sense of peace and stability to those who view them. Suggested retail price for a 6x9 is $299. New patterns have been added to all other existing collections. Existing collections include, but are not limited to, Bob Mackie, Ancient Inspirations, Claire Murray, Taba, Amira, Toshka and Mystical Reflections.
