AFMA Manufacturing and Suppliers Division's Annual Meeting Scheduled For July

The Manufacturing and Suppliers Divisions of the American Furniture Manufacturers Association (AFMA) will hold the Divisions' Annual Meeting for 1998 amidst a backdrop of Spanish Moss, colonial architecture and other distinct southern charms found in the historic city of Charleston, SC. The joint meeting of the two divisions is slated for July 30 -August 1, 1998 at the Charleston Place Hotel. The business sessions to be covered at the meeting will provide timely and informative programs to both divisions, together and separately. The following list of programs are planned for the educational sessions: IWF Preview Tooling Update New Products/Ideas Presented by Suppliers Division Mid Management Development *Cellular Implementation *What's Ahead for the Furniture Industry Selecting Key Performance Measures to Drive Your Plant's Success Winning Strategies for Successful Exhibiting In addition to business and educational sessions, several optional activities have been planned. A golf tournament will be held at the Dunes West Golf Club, a magnificent southern golf course. Spouses and guests of meeting attendees may also take a walk through southern history on the walking tour of Middleton Plantation and Gardens, the oldest formal gardens in the country.
