With its San Francisco flagship store already a preferred destination for West Coast shoppers, furniture maker and retailer Atmosphere by Shelley Reich is now bringing its collection of warm, approachably elegant home furnishings to New. Located in Soho – one of Manhattan’s most hip and progressive neighborhoods – the 5,000-square-foot store is housed in a former art gallery at 121 Wooster Street, between Prince and Spring Streets. The selection features individual pieces as well as full collections of furniture for the bedroom, the living room, the dining room and the study, as well as a full range of lighting and home decorative accessories. The general retail price runs from around $500 for a dining chair, a mirror or a serving tray to $5,500 for a deluxe king-sized bed or a stackable armoire. As a furniture producer, Atmosphere sets itself apart with its singular commitment to “made in America” quality – a true rarity in today’s world of mass-produced, overseas-made merchandise. Every piece of furniture is handmade, from start to finish, at the company’s manufacturing facility in Los Angeles. Its vertically integrated structure allows Atmosphere to offer one of the fastest delivery times in the industry – a full 70% faster than the majority of its competitors – as well as total quality control and the ability to introduce new items and design groups into its stores on an ongoing basis. The New York and San Francisco stores are open to the public and offer a full range of services, including home interior consultation services by Atmosphere’s interior design specialists.
