“Out West, Where Legends Begin” is the theme for the 2004 National Home Furnishings Association and the Western Home Furnishings Association All Industry Convention, at the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort and Spa, Phoenix, AZ. The 2004 Convention will be held May 15-17 and will be the first time the two retail associations have hosted the annual convention since 1997. Steve DeHaan, NHFA Executive Vice President commented, “We are very pleased to join with WHFA to bring the whole industry together for this convention. We are confident that attendees will receive a wealth of information and leave with many profitable ideas.” Sharron Bradley, WHFA Executive Director shared, “Hosting the Convention with NHFA will be great for the industry. Bringing furniture professionals together from all over the country will create a very rich opportunity to learn from the best.” For the first time, the NHFA/WHFA All Industry Convention will have Co-Hosts. The International Furniture Suppliers Association (IFSA) and the California Furniture Manufacturers Association (CFMA) will Co-Host the Convention. The Co-Hosting Associations bring a diversity of opinions, ideas and greatly add to the networking value of the Convention, allowing it to be a truly “All Industry Convention”. Convention Partners, Leggett & Platt, Inc., Simmons Company and Standard Furniture Manufacturing are showing their commitment--- to the success of the retailers they serve, by joining with the Hosts and Co-Hosts in providing educational opportunities throughout the program. It is anticipated to be the best attended Convention in the event’s history, with an estimated 600 furniture professionals and suppliers from around the country. Early registration fees for the 2004 All Industry Convention will be $499 for association members and $599 for non-members, with additional registrants being $399 for members and $499 for non-members. Single day rates are available as well. Discounts have also been negotiated with air travel, car rental and resort accommodations providers. The conference brochure detailing all of the Convention specifics will be unveiled during the October 2003 High Point Market.
