American Craft Council Wholesale Show In Baltimore To Introduce New Product Categories

For three days, February 21-23, 2012, American Craft Council will host its Wholesale Show at the Baltimore Convention Center.  The Wholesale Show reported that it will feature more than 350 of the country’s top contemporary craft artists and their latest handmade creations including: jewelry, clothing, furniture and home décor.

The American Craft Council offers buyers a wide variety of selected items through a rigorous jury process.   Buyers will get the first look at seasoned to emerging artists’ work from a variety of special categories:

• HANDMADE UNDER $100:  The perfect category for budding craft lovers.
• FOODIEWARE:  NEW! Fabulous utilitarian objects designed to flatter your fare.
• MENS DEPARTMENT:  NEW! Cool, handmade stuff for guys.
• BRIDE-TO-BE:  NEW! Built to last one-of-a-kind wedding jewelry and gifts.
• BLUE CHIP CLUB:  NEW! Stunning, one-of-a-kind pieces valued at $10k and up.
• LOCAL:  NEW! Local artists present their innovative handmade craft on a national stage.
• GREENCRAFT:  Featuring artists who incorporate recycled materials and use eco-friendly processes to create their “green” pieces.

Prior to the Show’s opening, on Tuesday, February 21, buyers will have the opportunity to attend informative pre-show workshops, as well as enjoy an evening reception featuring Bryan Batt, of “Mad Men,” interior designer and author of “Big Easy Style.”  Buyers will also receive free admission to all American Craft Council 2012 Retail Shows in Baltimore, Atlanta, St. Paul and San Francisco.

A $30 registration includes:

  • Up to four buyer badges
  • Access to informative pre-show workshops on Tuesday afternoon February 2
  • Two complimentary passes per company to a wine and cheese evening reception on Tuesday evening February 21 featuring Bryan Batt, actor, interior designer and author
  • Complimentary continental breakfast Wednesday, February 22, 8:30 a.m. – 10 a.m.
  • Free admission to all American Craft Council 2012 Retail Shows (Baltimore, Atlanta, St. Paul and San Francisco)
