Haystack Lamp From Groovystuff

Groovystuff announced new product additions to the Antares Lighting Collection that include the Haystack Lamp, a unique shadow floor lamp inspired by farmers of the Midwest.

Buyers shopping the Atlanta, Dallas, and Las Vegas Markets in January will be looking for the newest products to hit the market, and the Groovystuff says its Haystack Lamp delivers with ambient lighting that sets the mood for any room in the home. The Haystack shadow lamp was inspired by the hand bailing techniques of the mid century farmer and is designed specifically to take the grittiness of the old organic movement and soften that earth-crunchy look into a more elegant and sophisticated product.  Standing 52” tall, the Haystack Shadow Lamp retails at a price point that gives consumers character lighting without the designer price.

Sustainably harvested teak branches provide the framework for the Haystack Lamp and low wattage lighting illuminates the lamp with twig shadowing.   The flat, lacquer finish, and unique hourglass shape of the Haystack Lamp give the piece a modern and sophisticated look. The Haystack Shadow Lamp is an example of sustainable design done right, says Groovystuff President Chris Bruning, “and it gives retailers something special to offer their customers that is not your everyday shaded table lamp.”

Groovystuff debuts the Haystack Lamp as well as other new additions to the Antares Lighting collection at the following markets in January 2012:

Americas Mart, Atlanta, GA, January 13-17, 2012, Groovystuff University Hall of Innovation and Job Creation, Building 1, 7th Floor, Showroom # H12-18

  • Dallas Market Center, January 18-24, 2012, Groovystuff University Hall of Innovation and Job Creation, Showroom # 6642

  • Las Vegas World Market, Las Vegas, NV January 30 – February 3, 2012, Showroom # B-146

Market shoppers attending the January trade shows will also be the first to visit the Groovystuff University Hall of Innovation and Job Creation, an industry cooperative that bridges the gap between educational institutions and industry professionals.  Graduates seeking employment within the residential home furnishings market will be sponsored and given the opportunity to display their talents at the January markets.  The University Hall provides an invaluable opportunity for the students to gain employment before graduation by networking within the residential home furnishings market.  The University Hall also gives buyers, manufacturers and the media a first look at the emerging talent graduating in May of 2012.

"Our goal with the University Hall is to provide students with a platform for creativity and encourage them to embrace the home furnishings industry," explains Groovystuff President Chris Bruning, the visionary behind the Groovystuff Hall of Innovation and Job Creation.”
