Lounge Space Design For The Festival

Architects and designers were made more comfortable during the Architecture & Design Film Festival held at the Tribeca Cinemas this season thanks to the Natuzzi Group in conjunction with its Natuzzi Italia flagship store located in the SoHo neighborhood of Manhattan.

According to Brad Cates, senior vice president, Natuzzi Americas, Natuzzi Group designed an Architects Lounge for the film festival to further enhance brand development in the New York market among key architects, designers and design influencers.

“The festival presented a wonderful opportunity for us to connect with architects, interior designers and design enthusiasts in the New York area,” Cates relates. “In just two years, the Architecture & Design Film Festival has gone from being a great idea to an essential event on the design community’s calendar. Sponsoring the Architects Lounge enabled us to expose these key constituencies to the total living solutions offered by our premiere brand in a luxurious and exclusive environment.”

Outfitted with Natuzzi Italia furnishings, the Architect’s Lounge was a relaxing area where architects could network with colleagues, sign up for classes, gather information from AIA, and regroup between films. Executed by the Natuzzi Italia SoHo store, just blocks from the festival itself, the space embraced the Italian lifestyle and aesthetic, and epitomized the excellence, fashion and quality of products designed and crafted in Italy.

Representing the best of the Natuzzi brand on a global level, there are currently nine Italia stores in the Americas market, including five in the U.S., and approximately 60 Italia galleries. An aggressive store-opening plan is set for major markets in the coming New Year.

The Architecture & Design Festival returned to the Tribeca Cinemas in New York this Fall with a completely new selection of feature length films, documentaries and shorts. Events included discussions with filmmakers, architects, designers and other industry leaders on a variety of topics about the design process, architecture in film, and the brilliant designs we see and use every day.
