AmericasMart Atlanta announced that it has combined the Atlanta Apparel Market with the Fall Gift & Home Furnishings Market and Atlanta Gourmet Market, all together for the first time in October.

Collectively, these markets will produce a one-stop shopping experience allowing retailers and buyers to discover categories outside their traditional merchandise fields. AmericasMart offers 400,000 square feet of area rug products, 600,000 square feet of home furnishings, fine linens and accessories and 500,000 square feet of holiday, floral and home décor.  This comprehensive product collection and cross-merchandising opportunity will take place Oct. 13-17, 2011. The Atlanta Apparel Market takes place Oct. 13-17, 2011 (Temporaries: Oct. 13-16), and the Fall Gift & Home Furnishings Market and the Atlanta Gourmet Market will be held Oct. 14-16, 2011.

Highlighting the Apparel Market will be the 11th anniversary of Montreal Collections at AmericasMart Atlanta. More than 20 prêt-a-porter manufacturers from Québec will participate in a highly anticipated fashion show in the grand atrium at AmericasMart Building 3 on Oct. 14 at 6 p.m. with guest designer Iris Setlakwe presenting 30 outfits from her spring 2012 line.

Another event will be the Keynote Panel Luncheon: Southern Charmed: The Benefits to Business in the South.  Sponsored by Atlanta Magazine, the panel will feature the best of the best experts in Southern home, gift, gourmet and apparel industry. Panelists include: apparel designers and retailers, Sid and Ann Mashburn; noted interior designer Bob Brown; Style editor, co-founder of Paper-Cut Project and author of Recipe for Press, Amy Flurry; founder and editor of Bearings, Jeremy Blume, and celebrity chef Linton Hopkins. The luncheon will take place on Sat. Oct. 15 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Building 3, Floor 15, Fashion Penthouse.

In addition, retailers will benefit from an extraordinary lineup of educational seminars, events and entertainment.  Activities will interweave topics and trends covering gift, home and apparel, providing industry-specific insight and showing the advantages of blending these categories.  Event details and specific highlights will be forthcoming.
