imm cologne reported that the hopeful mood in the furniture induustry has been reflected in advance exhibitor registrations for the sleep area at imm cologne.

Overall, around 80 percent of the hall space has already been rented. "It's fun to see that we have managed to make imm cologne the most important trade fair for my industry. No matter who we talk to these days, companies are looking forward to imm cologne expectantly. We have not only been able to gain new exhibitors for Hall 9, but many exhibitors have also expanded their space", says Dr Ulrich Leifeld, Managing Director of the Professional Association of the Mattress Industry, headquartered in Essen, commenting on current registrations.

With Badenia, Dunlopillo, Schlaraffia, Rummel Matratzen, Diamona, ADA Möbelfabrik, Auping, Fey, FAN, Bast, AKVA Waterbeds, dormiente, JOKA, Metzeler Schaum, Otten – just to name a few – the companies in Hall 9 will be exhibiting the entire range of products revolving around the topic of sleep. Everything that promotes healthy, restful sleep will be on display: beds, waterbeds, mattresses and sleeping systems as well as bed linen and accessories.

High-tech innovations will be on display that are perfecting mattresses and addressing issues such as optimum ventilation and maximum hygiene, for example by using removable covers, as well as durability, shape retention and environmental friendliness. But the bedroom is more than just a place for sleeping; it is increasingly becoming a wellness area in which to spend time relaxing during the day.

Cologne will be the trend barometer for the international furnishing world from 16 to 22 January 2012. Visitors and the media can look forward to countless interesting companies and exciting product innovations.
