Solid-wood and custom-upholstery manufacturer, Kincaid Furniture Company, is introducing Homecoming™, its largest whole-home collection in the company’s 64-year history at the October 2010 High Point Market.
With more than 100 pieces crafted of solid pine, solid maple and solid walnut, Kincaid says that Homecoming has taken the best farmhouse furnishings from the past and reinterpreted those inspirations into updated, multi-functional classics for today’s modern lifestyle. Designs range from rustic simplicity to sophisticated offerings, all with thoughtful detailing that infuses the collection with the spirit of long cherished collectibles. More than a half dozen bed introductions anchor the bedroom selections, with a similar number of dining room offerings being shown in three finishes. Media consoles, accent tables and clever storage pieces are included. Rounding out the collection is a custom upholstery program featuring a selection of cozy slip-covered seating in addition to new upholstered designs and exciting fabric and trim applications.
Kincaid’s commitment to Homecoming extends beyond its extensive product introduction. 4,800 square feet of the Kincaid showroom has been transformed into a multi-room farmhouse complete with a metal roof, front parlor, porches and even a shade tree. And, a comprehensive marketing, display and promotional program underpins its retailer support program.
Homecoming is the pilot collection for the new Eco3Home program developed by the American Furniture Manufacturers Association. A rigorous multi-phase project that requires each product in the expansive collection meets or exceeds all mandatory and voluntary standards for safety, health and environmental stewardship, the Eco3Home designation assures consumers that each piece of Homecoming is safe and healthy for their family and is produced in an environmentally responsible way. The Homecoming collection is expected to be registered as the first Eco3Home products by AHFA before the October 2010 Market.
Kincaid will kick off its Homecoming celebration with the classic southern hospitality of a country barbecue party with entertainment provided by the Cross Ties Band in its showroom, IHFC H1204, Friday, October 15, 6-9pm.
