Leading European mattress producer Magniflex announced that it has opened a new sales and customer service center at 154 Grand Street to support its growing North American operations.

For the past several years, Magniflex combined its back office operations with a retail showroom at 59 Crosby Street in Soho. Based on its continuing growth, the company has moved the sales and customer service operations to Grand Street, a few blocks from its showroom.

“U.S. and Canadian consumers have been responding very well to our unique product offerings, which has lead to an expansion of our operations in North America,” said Marco Magni, global sales director for Magniflex. “The new facility enables us to add more staff that can be more responsive to the needs of our dealers and their customers.”

Over the past few months, Magniflex expanded its U.S. dealer network in Oregon, Washington and Alaska, and its Canadian network in Ontario and Alberta, representing a dozen more dealer locations in the first quarter of 2010. The brand is adding new retailers, expanding its popular Quick Ship program, and offering deeper discounts on floor models, as part of its continued growth plans for the North American market.
Solving the problem of high inventory costs many retailers face, the company has expanded the products available and territories served through its Quick Ship program, which guarantees delivery in five days at one low, flat-fee shipping cost.  New and existing Magniflex dealers also receive additional discounts on new floor sample orders on top of existing discounts.

Two new products, the Duoform XM and the Bellagio Lavender mattress, were made available through Quick Ship for the same flat-fee pricing -- only $45 for a queen mattress to the 48 contiguous U.S. states.  Magniflex has also begun shipping to Alaska, Puerto Rico and Hawaii, and is promoting complimentary shipping to all of U.S. and Canada for any 10-piece orders.

Magniflex fulfills orders using an automated order fulfillment system executed at the company’s Carteret, NJ warehouse.  The company utilizes delivery services and ground forwarders in lieu of its own trucks, thus reducing its carbon footprint.  Because the company
vacuum compresses all mattresses and pillows, products arrive hygienically sealed and compact enough to ease into apartment walk-ups or stairs, passing additional time and cost savings to the customer who can avoid traditional delivery fees.

Magniflex was founded over 50 years in a suburb of Florence, Italy, and today 30 million people in 70 countries sleep on Magniflex mattresses.  Known as the world leader in quality, comfort and innovation, Magniflex has a central manufacturing facility producing up to 10,000 mattresses a day, 80-percent of which are exported to countries such as Japan, Spain, Germany, Russia and the United States.  Magniflex recently opened a showroom at 59 Crosby St. in Manhattan and a  has a national dealer network throughout the U.S. and Canada.  For more information on Magniflex products, please visit www.magniflex.com or call 646.330.5483.
