Gus* Design Group the Canadian modern furniture design and manufacturing company, announced that it will expand its collection of FSC-Certified, eco-friendly designs by offering new in-stock upholstery, dining, and accents that use wood sourced from responsibly managed forests.

“Gus* consistently produces beautiful modern designs that attract a loyal following”, said Bobby Berk, owner of Gus* Studio showrooms in Manhattan and Miami.  “By producing those designs with FSC-Certified wood, Gus* is making a long-term commitment to the environment that customers recognize and appreciate.”

The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is a certification system that provides internationally recognized standard-setting, trademark assurance and accreditation services to companies interested in responsible forestry.  The FSC label provides a credible link between responsible production and consumption of forest products, enabling consumers to make purchasing decisions that benefit the environment.

Gus* retailers are anticipating the arrival of the Richmond Bi-Sectional (MSRP $3250USD), a relaxed frame with a configurable chaise.  Like the popular Jane Bi-Sectional from Gus*, it takes some of the guesswork out of home decorating by allowing the customer to change the configuration to suit their personal needs, which may change over time.

Also debuting this spring from Gus* is the Stanley Series, a line of indoor dining and accent tables constructed with solid, FSC-Certified Ash and stainless steel.  The designs feature a unique “slatted” wood top, made up of individual solid-Ash boards.  The line includes the Stanley Dining Table (MSRP $1595USD) and Bench (MSRP $675USD), the Stanley Coffee Table (MSRP $895USD), and the Stanley End Table (MSRP $445USD).

Gus* will be debuting these new designs at the High Point Furniture Market in North Carolina from April 17 to 22.  The Gus* Modern furniture collection is designed in Canada under the direction of industrial designer David Podsiadlo, and is sold at over 150 furniture retailers across North America.
