Capel Rugs announced that John A. Magee has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Capel, Inc., Capelsie Mills, Inc., and Capel Real Estate & Development, Inc.
"I am pleased to be joining Capel and I look forward to working with the board and management to build upon Capel's proud tradition of quality, integrity and customer service," said Magee in a statement to employees.
Magee was a partner with management consulting firm Anderson Bauman Tourtellot Vos & Co., which was engaged earlier this year to conduct a review of the companies' strategy and operations. He has over 25 years of experience advising clients on business and organizational strategy, capital structure, corporate governance and profit improvement.
Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Magee received his MBA from Darden School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia and his BA in History from Washington & Lee University.
Magee and his wife Frances have three children and currently reside in Charlotte, North Carolina.
