The Greater New York Home Furnishings Association announced that its Cruise Around Manhattan event to be held on September 9,th 2009 will benefit the charity LOVE (Leave out Violence).
Chris DeLisa, GNYHFA’s President said, “If you are a member of the New York home furnishings community of retailers, manufacturers, importers, reps and suppliers and you've never been to a GNYHFA networking event, consider joining us for the 2009 Boat Gala. “Streets of New York” is our theme this year. Barbara Goldstein, Executive Director of GNYHFA added, “The "Destiny" travels from Pier 81 on the Hudson, out past the Statue of Liberty and down the East River. There will be great views, cocktails, specialties from Little Italy, China Town and The Lower East Side.”
Casino "gaming for gifts" including blackjack, roulette, texas hold’em will be held onboard. There will also be a silent auction with all proceeds going to LOVE, a U.S. a 501 C 3 organization whose mission is to end violence against young people.
