Hooker Appoints Karyn Walker Johnson To Visual Communications Coordinator Post

Hooker Furniture announced that it has tapped Karyn Walker Johnson for the new position of Visual Communications Coordinator. In this role, she will work closely with merchandising and marketing staff to set a consistent and compelling visual communications direction for Hooker and its Envision, Opus Designs, Bradington-Young and Sam Moore divisions. She will oversee product photography, design and production for catalogs and other marketing materials.

“Karyn’s talent and experience will enable us to visually communicate our value equation to the consumer,” said Bruce Cohenour, executive vice president-marketing at Hooker. “The retailer will soon be able to see a compelling difference in the way we communicate our product story through photography, catalogs, marketing materials and websites,.”

Johnson comes to Hooker with over ten years of experience at Stanley Furniture, where she oversaw photography, catalog design and production. A graduate of Radford University where she earned a degree in visual communications, Johnson and her husband, Joel, live in Martinsville.
