PROFITsystems, Inc., a leading enterprise software provider for the retail furniture industry, has announced the completion of phase one of their new Human Resources Program. The first phase is to offer retailers background checks for new and current employees. “We now provide comprehensive employment screening solutions for businesses of all sizes. Back ground checks and pre-employment screening is so important in today’s world because of the threat employers are facing with negligent hiring laws” stated Ricki Stark, Vice President of PROFITservices.

If a retailer hires incorrectly they may lose productivity, earnings, and even put themselves, their company or their employees at risk. This risk can include physical injury, theft, and lawsuits. The background checks PROFITsystems supply are done by a Certified Law Enforcement officer who provides confidential analysis. Available through the PROFITsystems website background checks are open to any business whether a retailer, manufacturer or service provider, and is not limited to PROFITsystems clients. Businesses will have the option of two different levels of investigation depending upon their needs.

PROFITsystems will release the second phase of the HR Program later this year.  The next phase will provide retailers the tools required to test employees skill sets, personality profiles and job compatibility. Like the background checks the HR testing will be accessible through PROFITsystems’ website.  Each business will be able to determine which tests they require.

Jeff Niskern, PROFITsystems CEO, noted that the program was developed at the request of their clients.  “Retailers are still hiring.  Whether it is due to attrition or growth of the business most retailers find themselves hiring a couple of people a year.  If we can help them detect falsified job applications, avoid lawsuits, and make sure that they get the right person in the right position, we can help them save time and money,” Niskern commented.
