Cresent Fine Furniture announced that it is adding new pieces to two of its best selling collections, Cresent Classics and Chelsea at this week’s High Point Market. Cresent Classics is a collection of four lifestyle designs crafted in sustainably-forested, solid Appalachian cherry and maple. The new introductions include four full size beds, four small footprint dressers and a bedroom media center consisting of a single dresser and media cabinet deck. The three target market segments for the introductions are the beyond-the-master bedrooms of suburban homes; ‘tween and young adult bedrooms; and urban dwellers with small living spaces. Richard Tomkins, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Cresent noted that “we have completed a successful six month market test of full size beds in our Murray Hill and Chelsea collections. We see a real demand for full size beds from consumers today and will be offering them in our four successful Cresent Classics solid wood collections.” “In less than a year we have over 125 placements of Cresent Classics on retail floors across the country. Sales to the consumer have been well above our expectations and we want to continue to accelerate the growth rate by adding pieces that expand our market opportunities.” Cresent will also add new dining room to its Chelsea collection, a casual, traditional design offered in cherry with two finish options - tobacco & antique white. New introductions include a 54” round-to-oval dining table, chairs and a granite top credenza.
