Broyhill Furniture Industries announced that industry veterans Paul Peters and Cindy Goss will lead the company’s upholstery program. Mr. Peters joined Broyhill in 2008 in a senior sales position after serving most recently as head of marketing for upholstery manufacturer Hickory Hill. Ms. Goss has served as a fabric and merchandising consultant to the company during the development of its latest collections. “Broyhill is very fortunate to have two industry legends driving our upholstery program,” said Broyhill President Jeff Cook. “Paul’s long experience in both sales and merchandising is a perfect marriage of skills as Broyhill leverages its industry leadership in consumer product testing. Being able to translate the retail experience into our proprietary testing methodology will make our investments in this research even more effective. “Paul and Cindy are very well known in our industry as not only business leaders but outstanding designers and merchandisers. I’m confident they will build on the momentum that our consumer-tested new product launches created in Las Vegas and will continue at next month’s High Point Market.” As Broyhill’s new Vice President of Upholstery, Mr. Peters brings more than 20 years of furniture experience, having served as president of Cochrane Furniture and having held leadership positions with Hickory Hill and Clayton Marcus. He will report to Mr. Cook. Ms. Goss will serve as Vice President of Upholstery Merchandising and will report to Mr. Peters. She is a former director of merchandising for Klaussner Furniture and is a past Furniture Today Upholstery Merchandising Leadership Award recipient. Her more than 25 years in the industry include retail store development with Levitz and acclaimed merchandising work with both Klaussner and Brookwood. Mr. Peters and Ms. Goss replace Anthony Teague and Tom Little, who are joining Jackson Furniture Industries. “Broyhill appreciates the contributions Anthony and Tom made during their tenure and wish them the best in their new roles,” Mr. Cook said.
