HFA Announces Call for 2018 Retailer of the Year Nominations

Furniture World News Desk on 2/3/2018

The Home Furnishings Association (HFA) is accepting nominations for its 2018 Retailer of the Year award. Nominations are due by April 18 and awards will be presented on Saturday, September 15 at the HFA’s Insights Experience in Minneapolis.

“Retailers and the businesses they run and jobs they provide are major contributors to U.S. economy. At HFA, we’re proud to recognize and honor outstanding members each year for their contributions,” said Sharron Bradley, the HFA’s CEO.

The industry is invited to nominate HFA members in good standing who represent exceptional examples of the following criteria: philanthropy, technology, customer experience, mentoring, sustainability and store design/merchandising for the Retailer of the Year. There will be a winner in two categories—under $10 million and over $10 million in sales.

Nominations are also open for the Emerging Star award, a retailer who’s been in business for 3-5 years that stands out in one or more of the six criteria, and the Trailblazer award, a retailer who’s been in business for 20+ years that stands out in one or more of the six criteria.

Any member of the home furnishings industry may nominate one or more HFA members for Retailer of the Year, Emerging Star or Trailblazer awards. Nominees will be contacted to confirm eligibility and interest prior to the selection process. A representative from varies sections of the industry will be included on the selection committee.

Nominations can be submitted via email to dganyo@myhfa.org or online at myhfa.org.
