Hardison Named Managing Director of Mega/Windermere Motion

Dwight Hardison has been named Managing Director of Mega/Windermere Motion, effective November 1st. Hardison will oversee the expansion of the new Ultimate Power Recliner™ line and the Rascal® Mobility scooter line among home furnishing retailers, as well as manage online distribution and special programs for non-furniture retailers.

Hardison recently joined Mega/Windermere Motion as its Director of Operations. Previously he was VP of Marketing and US Operations for Simon Li for nearly 5 years and also held prior sales and marketing positions at Berkline, Benchcraft and Lane.

“Dwight is a seasoned marketing professional whose experience with both the wholesale and retail trade will be extremely valuable to the company,” said Dennis Valkanoff, retiring Managing Director of Mega/Windermere Motion. “I’m certain he will continue to champion the innovations that have brought us this far and take us to the next level of growth.”

Said Hardison, “With the momentum Dennis Valkanoff and his team have created by focusing on consumer needs, we are in a good position for upward growth. I will be focusing on pushing our brands out to the consumer and assisting our retail base.”

Mega/Windermere Motion is the furniture distribution channel of Pride Mobility. Pride Mobility is the one of the largest suppliers of power recline/lift chairs and mobility scooters in the world.

Mega/Windermere has 4 domestic warehouse locations and a new Canadian warehouse to service, on a ‘just in time” basis, the furniture retailer. Most of the full feature recliners with lift function and scooters it produces are in stock, ready to ship same day or next day. All products are made to the highest quality standards. The company conducts extensive testing of all its products to meet and exceed federal requirements and retains replacement parts for up to 7 years.
