Pacific Coast Feather Cushion Company Gearing Up For Growth

Furniture World News Desk on 1/2/2017

Pacific Coast Feather Cushion Company reports that it is aggressively investing to expand its position and meet demands for new and existing products in residential and outdoor seating.

Cristina Kopecky will be promoted to President effective January 1st, 2017, assuming responsibility for all operational aspects of Cushion. “Cristina has been a key part of our success for the last 17 years, contributing in all areas of the business. We are all very excited about Cushion’s future under Cristina’s leadership”, said Neil Puro, current President and CEO of Pacific Coast Feather Cushion Company.

In addition, Mark Sedgewick will be promoted to Senior Executive Vice President for National Sales and Marketing. Since joining Cushion in 2002, Mark has held several supervisory and management positions, and has been a big part of Cushion’s growth.

Neil Puro, Pacific Coast Feather Cushion Company Founder and current President, will transition control of the Company’s day to day operations, but will remain involved as an advisor and board member.

“The Company’s future focus will be on organic growth with an emphasis on product expansion. Cristina and Mark will also continue to consider strategic alliances or acquisitions that would increase our value proposition to customers”, says Puro.

Cushion will begin expanding its manufacturing facilities in Pico Rivera, CA and High Point, NC in the spring of 2017 to meet growing demand for their products. “We will acquire an additional 50,000 square feet in the Hickory, North Carolina, area and hire 30-40 additional employees,” said Kopecky. “In addition, we will also expand our footprint in the LA area. While we remain open to strategic alliances or acquisitions that would increase the value proposition to our customers, expanding our current facilities is the quickest way to leverage our strong teams in both locations.”

To keep up with the increasing demand for our existing products, as well as launch new products into the North American market, the company will invest more than $2 million in new equipment and upgrades to its technology over the next 12 months. “As a long standing innovator in our segment, we have consistently invested in manufacturing technology to support our product improvements and customer service. This is especially important as our products are made to order to perfectly fit the needs of our customers’ products.” says Kopecky.

“OEM cushions continue to represent an important market for our company, and the team has done a great job bringing innovative, high quality product to our customers. This upcoming investment in facilities, equipment and people speaks to our continuing desire to be the market leader in this business segment”, said Joe Crawford, President and CEO of Pacific Coast Feather Company, PCC’s parent company.
