Kataryna Dmoch is a Doha Qatar and Cannes France based taste maker. Raised in Eastern Europe, educated in the US, and living a jet-set lifestyle, Kataryna credits her European roots, American lifestyle and international architecture as major influences on her design aesthetic. She admires the way nationalities embrace family heritage, sophistication, and tradition in their homes but also reflect an all American easy-going, casual lifestyle. More than anything, her designs reflect a softer, prettier, feminine perspective with nuanced details.

Now, she is partnering with Vanguard to bring her aesthetic to a new audience with the added dimension of offering her designs in multiple finishes made possible by Vanguard’s state-of-the-art capabilities that allow them to cost-effectively finish furniture one piece at a time. This October she will be launching about 20 new pieces at the High Point Furniture Market.

Andy Bray, Vanguard’s President, says: “we are always looking for talented designers that bring fresh ideas to the marketplace. Kataryna has been a Vanguard customer for many years, and I have long been impressed with her designs and their originality in materials and diversity of visual concepts. As a true citizen of the world, Kataryna finds impression in her multi-cultural lifestyle that plays out in her feminine and luxurious aesthetic.”

The BRANCH OUT COLLECTION is crafted from solid acacia wood and yet still appears to be light, organic and airy. It is featured here in Birdsong lacquer which makes it easy to coordinate with nearly any hue. It earns the sobriquet "branch out” because the pattern is reminiscent of a tree branch that bifurcates again and again giving the appearance of cracked glass. The Branch Out Collection is available as a Coffee Table, Side Table, and aConsole Table.

The SQUIRE COFFEE TABLE has a diameter of 42 inches making it both substantial and airy. The base is comprised of cast aluminum wrapped in gold foil. The top is a stunning lacquered silver blue foil making it the focal point of the room. There is a matching end table that can work with it or stand alone.

The GINGKO NIGHTSTAND is suggestive of a treasure chest on a golden pedestal. The juxtaposition of a clean rectilinear box with the ornate Gold leaf base creates a pleasing frisson. There is a chest of drawers, and a bench in this family of products.
